AutoCAD Tips
Here are some tips culled from the AUGI Forums by several different contributors...
There is so much to be learned on the Forums.
- Never, I repeat Never explode a dimension.
- Always check over a drawing before you click print. Save a forest.
- ALWAYS draw things to scale
- Do not Explode Attributes
- Do not place the border in Model Space
- Do not scale the border, larger or smaller, than 1:1
- Do not scale or rotate reference files
- Do not “plot to fit” when plotting a drawing. i.e., Plot 1 to 1 or 2 to1.
- Always have the Base point of a block set to 0,0,0
- Keep 2-D drawings 2-D!
- Zoom Extents before closing a file.
- Use MTEXT with word wrap
- Don't lock a layer and then save the drawing with it as the current layer
