Last chance to grab an excellent freeware screen capture utility
CyberNet News is reporting that FastStone Capture software has gone from freeware to shareware - this is definitely bad news for users of this freeware screen capture program.
Ryan from CyberNet was quick enough off the mark to capture and make available for free download the last freeware version of FastStone Capture (download available via the above link).
Having / using a good screen capture utility greatly eases the process of capturing quality images from one’s computer screen - can especially come in handy when posting images (PNG format for example) to the AUGI Forums or writing an article for AUGIWorld or AUGI HotNews or an ATP class for the AUGI Training Program.
Listed below, in no particular order, are a few screen capture utilities:
- Cropper (freeware).
- Gadwin PrintScreen (freeware).
- MWSnap (freeware).
- PrintKey 2000 (freeware).
- ScreenHunter (freeware / cost-ware versions available).
- Screenshot Captor (freeware).
- SnagIt (cost-ware). SnagIt is generally recognised as the daddy of screen capture programs.
- Window Clippings (version 1.5 is freeware / version 2.0 will come with an option to register).
- WinSnap (cost-ware).
