Learn-About-Top-DAUG Contest
OK, here's the info I promised last week. Attached are the instructions for creating a drawing in AutoCAD. These are the same instructions used for the final round of the Top DAUG contest. The only difference is that you get to see the screen while you are creating the drawing. Since that is the case, your file has to be completely correct to qualify. It is not just the first one finished that wins, it is the first one completed correctly that wins. So, speed and accuracy count. Tip: Since the instructions were designed to force the user to use the command line, you may find it helpful to do it that way. The Top DAUG contest used AutoCAD 2009, but the commands are basic to AutoCAD since way back, so you can use any vertical product the creates a DWG file for the test.
Attach your drawing to an email with the subject "Learn-About-Top-DAUG Contest", and your AUGI username, and send it to ed.jobe@augi.com. The first two correct files that I receive (the email timestamp will determine who was first, one entry per member) will each win a $125 voucher for an Autodesk Certification test at an Authorized Training Center or online. It can be used towards a standard or professional certification. I will announce the winners on BLAUGI after the winners are determined.
Disclaimer: This is not an official AUGI sponsored contest. I'm just sharing with you some extra vouchers that I was able to obtain at AU.
