A couple of weeks ago (Published date: 2008-04-15) Autodesk released a new Hotfix for Autodesk Productstream Professional 2008 SP1…
Don't forget to download and read the accompanying Readme file.
The below is taken from the Readme file. Description of the issue:
- Wrong Inventor structure using FILE_LINKNAME
References are not correctly updated in certain circumstance when FILE_LINKNAME is not empty. This can lead to incorrect components being shown in assembly structures for PSP clients. After applying the hotfix, you should use the command ‘Update Document’ to correct references for documents that you suspect show the wrong structure.
- Entries in REPL_DOCUMENT Table provoke conflicts in ReplQ
After trying to synchronize all locations, during work on Office or Inventor documents, entries get created in the destination location in the REPL_DOCUMENT
table, which were not get deleted. As a result no further replication would be done for this document, because there is already an entry with a filesize of zero created and the push process of the source location considers that the prior job has not been finished.
- Replicator 2008 will update all documents from a previous Replicator installation.
This behaviour is due to the use of UTC times in the implementation of Replicator in Productstream Professional 2008. Once all documents are updated they will have a UTC timestamp and further updates will not occur unless necessary. However where installations have large numbers of files, this update may take a long time. This hotfix makes these updates unnecessary and avoids the need to update large numbers of files just to acquire a UTC timestamp.
- Replication of DWF and secondary files.
The Productstream Professional DBP-condition “isReplSyncOnsite” returns the incorrect value for secondary files for synchronisation through replicator leading to secondary files not being synchronized correctly through Replicator.
